Happy New Year Everyone! Ok so I'm a little late on brining the blog into the New Year, but I'm finally here with a new post!
So the holidays were crazy for everyone.....something I don't have to tell any of you but none the less you know what I mean. However, before the whole holiday craze kicked in, I had the opportunity to do an internship for a Metal-themed cruise! Yes! (I didn't even know such a thing existed.)
The cruise was called Barge to Hell and lasted a week. My school informed me of this opportunity and I definitely said YES! And the next thing you know I was called and invited to join! (Its not everyday you can do an internship for a Metal-theme cruise!)
Fast forward to the cruise and I am in Miami with about 19 other interns who have traveled from around the globe to come and work. We worked the night we all met all the way until the day we came back! No joke.

All worked at different stages and then there were some who were like runners. A handful of interns and I were the runners. We: made sure all the stages had towels and water and there were enough for all the bands, sometimes we were security and kept an eye on our bosses' equipment or band's instruments, and anything else that was needed. (I came back very sore and tired, but so worth it!)
Others helped put the stages together and load gear onto the ship...some amazing and down to earth gentlemen by the way. None the less, everyone pulled their weight and did a kick-ass job of making sure things got done....even it it meant staying up till 2 a.m. or later ....oh yes there were those nights and how these guys did it, I don't know.
But it wasn't all work, did I forget to mention..we went to the Bahamas?! It took us two days to get there and then two coming back (Hint hint: the pictures you see are taken by me!) with an awesome view of the ocean over breakfast! Priceless.
